2. Local storage and session storage

Homepage language preference also syncs through localStorage.
We store dismissed tutorials and course-completion messages in your browser to avoid showing them again.
Public-visit tracking uses sessionStorage to avoid duplicate events during a single browser session after consent.

3. Consent model

Necessary cookies do not require opt-in because they support security, authentication, and save your preferences.
Analytics cookies and the Google tag stay off until you choose Accept analytics or save preferences with analytics enabled.
If you reject optional cookies, HackCode deletes its analytics visitor cookie and Google Analytics cookies, blocks the Google tag, and stops collecting optional marketing analytics.
